THE LAUREL HOUSE

When Eric and Larry returned to Studio IQL for their second project with us, it was a reunion of minds and hearts. After completing their two-year pied-à-terre on Spruce Street, we were so smitten with the results - and the collaboration - that we were ready for what came next.

This time, it was a 1990s developer-grade home set in the bucolic farmland of Pipersville, abutting forever-wild state land near Washington Crossing. The beauty of the setting called for a home with equal depth. Our goal was to give the house the history, character, and resonance it had been missing - to make it feel rooted in the landscape and as though it had evolved there over time.

A country manor was born.
